Stitching

I have been looking through previous blog post and you may have started to wonder if I stitch any more???
Well there have been some things diverting my attention... Jean and Candi have messed up my stitching routine by introducing me to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.  Oh my gosh what great books and once you start one you can't put it down, even Danny was complaining that he can't go to sleep with the light on.  I tried to explain I was just going to read one more page.  I'm on book 3 so I guess I can get back in to my regular routine soon.
However I have not completely abandon stitching I'm working on some over one for a friend.  You see she started this awesome Ann Smith sampler from Scarlet Letter and had it almost done... but she does not like over one stitching, so she asked me if I would like to work on it.  I said oh sure, before I checked out the sampler and little did I know that there is lots of over one.  I had been dragging my feet thinking what have I done.  She would ask me how it was coming, I would say I had put in a few stitches, but I"m mainly working on patterns for market, anything but all that over one.  Well I got to feeling guilty so I pulled it out and made myself start in earnest.  Maybe because I had some other projects that I was not looking forward to I began stitching non stop on her sampler, and I'm loving it (I just hope that I will be able to part with it when it is done).  I will get right back at it when I finish this last book.

The whole sampler so far

I hope you all have a productive weekend, I know what I will be doing!

Black Sheep Have You Any Wool?

We went on a farm excursion to pick up wool.

They all came running to see us, but I believe that they thought that we were bearing treats.

If your ever in the Franklin TN area, you to can visit this family run farm.

They have a unique store stocked with their wonderful dairy products and a variety of local handmade products.

It has that charming old store feel, with a place to sit a spell while you enjoy their wonderful milk.

The store.

Part of the Dairy.

The milk processing plant.

They also have a couple of veterinarians in the family so its one stop shopping!

No farm is complete without a cute goat.
Their milk products are delivered to local markets in the Nashville area and they also sell at a few Farmer Markets.  Give them a call for your fresh milk supply or if you would like a farm tour.
