Primitive Gathering

Our trip to VA began at the wonderful Rockmill Farm Bed and Breakfast. An old home that is a work in progress with lots of history.  The innkeepers John and Susie Shimp were very hospitable, it was just like home away from home.
Here is what remains of the Mill that the B&B was named after. Quite the amazing stone work all dry stacked with huge stones!

Some of the local animals that were so friendly

These two kittens were the best, being cat lovers we kidnapped them that night and they were right at home on the end of the bed.

We made it to Notforgotten Farm on Saturday morning to set up our booth.  The weather was wonderful it was a huge success.  Above is the farm house
Lori has the greatest little shop. I made a mad dash inside before the show started to try and look around, but you really need hours to see all there is.  So if you didn't make it to the Gathering her shop is a road trip worth making.
Some of the vendors putting the last touches on their booths

More vendors

Our booth, Kathy has all kinds of great props to dress things up, even a carpet to make you feel right at home.  She was so kind to share as I don't think we could have fit one more item in the Toyota Corolla, its small but makes up for it with great gas mileage.

All of Kathy's Jewelry.  Oh my were there some of the coolest pieces I can't even begin to describe.  I think that one of my favorite had a little egg with a tiny little bird inside, be sure to go to Kathy's new website to get a closer look, you may find something you can't live with out.

Here are some pictures of my items.

More of mine

We had great great neighbors who Danny encouraged to visit with persimmons snacks from the tree that shaded our booth.
It was a wonderful trip all the way round, we had great weather, beautiful settings but best of all we got to meet up with old friends and meet lots of new ones.  Thanks so much for those of you that stopped by and for those of you that did not get to attend try to make plans for next year as it makes for a good outing.
Danny is updating the website with new items so stop in and take a look.

Off to Primitive Gathering of Friends

Packing like crazy to get ready for the big show at Notforgotten Farm on Saturday, weatherman says it will be nice so come on out and enjoy the day.  Lots of talented folk artists will be present with lots of goods to share with all.  There are also a variety of animals that reside at the farm who I'm sure would love a little attention. A few pictures of items you will  be able to find at my booth.
Seeing how to set up the table.

Another view of the table.  Need another table it does not all fit.

Cat head pincushions, they remind me of old time Halloween items, but I leave mine out all year long.

Close up of mom and little bit, little bit is a cutie.

Here is Little Bit with his Pumpkin friend.

A few pindrums.

Neat little roll up stuffed with lavender.
Please stop by for a visit.  Kathy Barrick from French Sentiments and Carriage House Samplings will be sharing the booth and you will not want to miss out on her wonderful pieces of Art.

Laboring on Labor Day

I think that the holiday was meant to be a break from Labor, and while I was off from work, there is always work to be done.
I'm in the mad dash to get ready for the Notforgotten Farm, Primitive Gathering of Friends on Sept 18, in just a mere 2 weeks.  Kathy Barrick of French Sentiments and I will be working together to bring you a wide array of goods. Kathy will have her awesome jewelry, pieces that once held in your hand you can not part with, each piece is so unique your sure to find one that speaks to you. I know this for a fact as I have several of Kathy's pieces that I just love.  She will also have her cross stitch patterns so be sure to come and stock up before they are no longer available. Kathy has changed her whole web look so pop over to take a look at her blog and web site they are very chic, oh so French!

I will be bringing, stitched and painted goods along with Divine Art Toffee that is to die for so I'm sure  that there will be some thing to find in both our booths

I was afraid to post these pictures as you will see what a mess I work in, as I have about 5 things going at once.   There is always quite after the storm, or in my case lots of finished goods.

Here are just a few.  So be sure to stop by for a day of fun at......
