They Say It's Your Birthday

But so is Tennessee!
Danny and I took a drive through Middle Tennessee the other day and these were some of the things that we saw.
It's not just anywhere that they would trust you to come get the key to the shop.  This was in a small antique shop in Bell Buckle TN.

Downtown Bell Buckle lots of little shop, fun little place to stop.

Just liked the looks of this building

The Webb School a college prep school in Bell Buckle founded in 1870

One of the original buildings on the Webb campus

Do not forget to go to the national cornbread festival in South Pittsburgh home of Lodge cast iron pots

Lots of water in this section of TN

This little valley is Dunlap nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

McMinnville nursery capital

Danny looking for fish.

Neat log cabin

One Lilly the deer did not get.

These next pictures are taken through my sewing room window.  I had been watering the flowers at the back of the house and this is who stopped by to take a bath.  Forget the cute little mocking birds, blue jays and robins this was one hot Hawk that need a cool bath.  I have been talking about this for days.

So now on to what I have been doing in the heat.  Well sewing in the air conditioned house of course.

Stacy Nash pin drum

All the different sides featuring the little strawberries on top.
I used French General fabric for the top of the drum.

I have to say I'm quite proud of this piece so much so that I had to make two.
It is by Pineberry Lane, but look inside the tiniest tomato and a little pin keep that tells you exactly what it is.
It is all in a hand painted 4 inch square box.

Oh but it is summer and the vegetables are coming in.
These little carrots just got picked, they are from a Stacy Nash pattern, I couldn't wait to whip them up.

You will also notice the little seed packet that I put my Love-in-a-Mist seeds in.
Since it is my Birthday and I have had tons of birthday wishes, I would like to share a carrot and a packet of seeds with one of you!

If you would like to find a home for this lonely little carrot please leave a comment and if your not already a follower I would love to invite you to follow my blog.  I will draw names on Sunday the 17th.
So Happy Birthday Everyone!
