The Barn Door

Well I look at the date on the last post and hope that you all don't feel like I've forgotten about you!
I really don't know where the time goes, but I feel like I have accomplished a lot, but.... I still can't show you because I'm waiting on a few pieces to make it all complete!
I have 3 one page charts that are at the printer.  These are smaller projects, ones that you can get done in a hurry and have a great sense of accomplishment.  Then I will have 2 sampler reproductions that take a little longer to complete, but well worth the time, oh and did I mention that one is an A & E. Adam and Eve are kind of funky folk arty great fun to stitch.  I also have a wall pocket more involved because there is some finishing but instructions are included and believe me I try to make all my finishing easy because I would really rather be stitching.  My last pattern will be the release for the directions for my thimble keeps.  My instructions are going to get proof read by another seamstress. They make perfect sense to me but my husband was questioning items so rather then have a non sewer make the final call I've asked for a third opinion. The last item I'm waiting for is a frame.
Now speaking of frames and framing I have been bugging my framer to no end.  The name of the shop is The Barn Door Co. owned by Kevin King.  Kevin has tons of molding and also makes awesome painted frames of his own, but that is just half of his talent.  To be quite honest I'm not sure it I just go in to pick out frames of is it really to check out all the other cool items that he makes, and it changes all the time so if you see it and like it you had better make a move quick!  So with out more ado I will just show you what I'm talking about.

Old and New
Just love those letters

Lots of Frames

Wish my house was bigger for this awesome Dough Bowl it had a great price.

Check out that awesome table, the base was some kind of cart, oh my wouldn't it just make the perfect kitchen island!

WALL ART
Something for everyone even the guys, the headlights work on that bumper, sorry they told me model and make but....

Another cool cart turned coffee table.  The work table underneath I'm drooling over and the chandelier hanging above is just too fine. Part of an old whiskey keg and some cool metal gears that Kevin has so cleverly put together.

So as you can see lots of neat things displayed to perfection a must see if your in the Franklin TN area.
Or give them a call if you see some thing that you must have.

The A&E sounds like just my type--I love 'em when they're funky! I can't imagine being able to go to a shop like that--it looks like a treasure trove of stuff is tucked around every corner.

Good Morning Carmen,
Just had to comment on that great shoppe. You are so lucky to have so many choices in frames, not to mention all of the other neat stuff. I think we go near Franklin on the way to Nashville. It would be fun to stop there.
Is your shoppe near there?
Can't wait to meet you in Nashville. I know you are as busy as I am. So little time - so much left to do.
Well, see you soon. I hope you don't have any more bad weather and I really hope we don't have any during Market week.
See you soon,
Sandra
