Stitching

I have been looking through previous blog post and you may have started to wonder if I stitch any more???
Well there have been some things diverting my attention... Jean and Candi have messed up my stitching routine by introducing me to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.  Oh my gosh what great books and once you start one you can't put it down, even Danny was complaining that he can't go to sleep with the light on.  I tried to explain I was just going to read one more page.  I'm on book 3 so I guess I can get back in to my regular routine soon.
However I have not completely abandon stitching I'm working on some over one for a friend.  You see she started this awesome Ann Smith sampler from Scarlet Letter and had it almost done... but she does not like over one stitching, so she asked me if I would like to work on it.  I said oh sure, before I checked out the sampler and little did I know that there is lots of over one.  I had been dragging my feet thinking what have I done.  She would ask me how it was coming, I would say I had put in a few stitches, but I"m mainly working on patterns for market, anything but all that over one.  Well I got to feeling guilty so I pulled it out and made myself start in earnest.  Maybe because I had some other projects that I was not looking forward to I began stitching non stop on her sampler, and I'm loving it (I just hope that I will be able to part with it when it is done).  I will get right back at it when I finish this last book.

The whole sampler so far

I hope you all have a productive weekend, I know what I will be doing!

I've read the first of the trilogy--it was good! I love love love that A&E sampler. I need to gear myself up for the over one when I do eventually start it. Yours/Ginny's looks great!

I've read the first two books, but not the third. It's near the top of the list to pick up. I've really enjoyed them.

And I'm loving your sampler. That one is near the top of my list too since I love all things A&E, but I'm a little afraid of it. Yours looks wonderful.

Hello Friend...thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog today. I couldn't find an email address or button so I'm replying this way. That sampler you're working on is beautiful. I would be so very tempted to keep it! LOL You are a true friend for doing that.

I have found that driving in this area is much like when I was in MA. Heaven help you if you're not in the right lane or you don't stomp on the gas AS SOON as the light turns green!

Do you know of any thrift/consignment/antique shops within a few miles of me?

Sorry about the long comment....please email me!
Thanks...
